Praqma is looking for a motivated student to join our inbound marketing efforts by planning events and promoting content on social media. Is that you?
Praqma is a consultancy bureau for companies that produce software. We specialize in the niche of DevOps and Continuous Delivery - the art of delivering software in a swift, safe, and sustainable manner. We aim to change the world of software development by sharing our knowledge and building strong communities.
Praqma has 7 offices throughout Scandinavia and a diverse team of 45 employees. We work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to open source projects. We believe in open communication, flat organization and cross-company collaboration.
Our approach to marketing is to share relevant knowledge and produce quality content for our customers and the community. That’s why we write tech blogs and organize events that we wish existed (find out more). We work and communicate in English, and our tone is pretty informal.
About the position
You will work directly with the Events and Communication Manager, and interact with the whole company (a rather friendly bunch). You’ll gain hands-on communication and event planning experience in a growing international company.
Social media: scheduling engaging updates about our events and services on all our channels, and community management.
Planning & promoting meet-ups: organizing interesting meet-ups is an important part of our efforts to build the community of Continuous Delivery practitioners in Scandinavia.
Help organizing conferences: performing ad hoc tasks in connection with events.
Additionally you’ll get the opportunity to work with reporting tools and metrics, and/or more creative tasks around graphic design or videos.
The weekly working time will be approx. 15 hours at our office (right outside the Islands Brygge metro station), and we can plan work ahead to adapt to your studies.
We are looking for the following profile:
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or other related education
- Fluent in written and spoken English (native level)
- Attention to detail and flair for graphics & layouts
- Quick learner - flair for IT, not afraid to use new systems (Trello, GitHub, Slack…)
- Open-minded with a “can do” attitude
- Passion for social media and event planning, and some previous experience (work or volunteer)
- Interested in new technologies and the tech world
- A good sense of humor
